In Riyadh it was a pleasant morning… Rano had been so engrossed in work that she had lost track of days… It was 2 more weeks for their return to India nd things had been going well… The Embassy was as desserted as before nd Rano had done packing for their field trip… As noon struck in the counsellors had poured in for their pre field meet… The meet had been of top secret as final proccedings of legal assurance was paid heed to…The meet had come to an end nd it was evening, jus while retreating for their field trip something sudden nd unexpected occurred… There was a blast at the backyard nd the whole house swept in fire… There seemed no exit….

         

 

            The Khurans’ had panicked to power of inifinity nd continous calls were being made to the Embassy to find out the credentialities of d news…The Handa’s nd the entire house was in state of unrest nd intense commotion… Geet was completely unaware and had been feeling irritated since morning , Nano had seen her unrest nd tried very hard to soothe her, He knew it he knew it would be difficult to break the news to her.. She would have been shattered nd broken beyond imagination… Tender heart would not accept such brutalities which fate would spun for them…

 

 

 

 

          The fire was intense surrounding nd engulfing everything on its way, spreading from backyard to main gate like an island of fire ball… The house stay in centre surrounded by wild fire, phone lines had been burnt cutting ff the chance to dial an emergency, smoke nd fire and ash were d only visible things in surrounding… Rano had lept out side the room nd went in search of Mohinder who was seated in drawing room along with the counsellers nd other officers in charge… All had been shocked at the sudden turn of events… Rano was the first one to speak Mohinder lets use d windows to break open nd escape, but the sight opening the window was worser than what hey could have imagined nothing was within vision except red balls of fire… There had been severe blast nd probably the worst that they could have dreamt off…

 

 

 

        Brij had spoken to d senior officials who assured that though the Embassy had turned to ashes there would be some hope since Mohinder nd the troop had planned for a field trip nd in case they had left in time they would’nt have fallen prey to the incidentbut wat worried the officials were Mohinder was out of reach, even in d deserts they had proper coverage for emefgency issues so this was something worth worrying…

 

 

 

 

        Unaware of wat lay I nstore for them Mohinder had finally decided along with other officers nd counselors that to move out to safety from this fire ball was next to impossible nd d best solution waould be to pray down nd pray their last wishes nd sacrifice their lives here for their country, they knew that enemy had finally reached its destination by destroying all valuable documents…. Mohinder just went back nd sat in the sofa… 

 

         Rano was very angry with the behavious of the ppl… She just barked out don’t u ppl have sense.. Someone replied Rano di we can not escape now we r strangled nd y don’t u think sacrificing our lives for our nation no honour can be greater than this, Rano hit her head yuip no honour can be more than that but the rule of god – the first commandment includes saving one’s life – when God gives u a chance safe guarding the life that he had bestowed upon is of prime importance – wat u want now ? to lay adamant here nd burn ourselves so tat ppl dnt get our body for final creamtion ? all our limbs in separate condition that we deprive our family of the last rituals which connects us from this world to next ? wat u want to die a death that everyone never approves of ? nd wat if we dnt die wat if we r left handicapped for our lives wont we be a burden ? Rano just blurted out nd Finally Mohinder got up nd hugged her tight, Rano Sorry!

PART 25 – LVE –

 It was all too sudden Geet was super depressed at HP… The days following were encircled with thoughts abt Rano nd Mohinder… Geet was treated like a princess, with due care tat Rano would have never imagined… She use d to get up to papa’s call frm Riyadh.. Nano used to get her d speaker to talk or say ummm… Mummiji will carry her , the never let her walk too!!! Food was fed , Mummiji changed her dresses , in short they pampered her infinitely… Maan nd Anni had frequesnt visits which mounted to 4-5 times per day… Frustrated with d kids after a fortnight Beena had suggested tat Maan nd Anni stay over with them…

 

 

            Nano had been hospitalized for some Minor surgery so Beena shifted over to their home to take care of Geet nd rest of kids… He had been in charge for a week before discharge, on d day of discharge Geet was excited since she missed her morning cat walk with nano nd gardeninn too, her pussy had grown tired without nano nd Geet’s life turned dull without nano,,, She had been geared up for Nano nd once he was back didn’t let him in peace – crawled to him nd slept over his chest nd weeped – Geet was already missing Rano nd Mohinder to top it out mummiji had also gone to hospital with Nano so Geet was left alone at home with Khurana’s … Though the Khurana’s had never let her feel aloof but this particular day GH could take it no more.. She had an aura of negative vibes something that she could not explain… The day was going heavier nd she had the strong urge to speak to Papa…Unable to get through the call disheartedly she switched on the tv nd piled up in a sofa to relax when the Headlines struck TV , Nano walked up wen those few words fell like terror on his face – Bomb Blast in India Embassy in Saudi Arabia – All Indians Reported Dead…

 

 

 

            This news bowled d Handa’s nd Khurana’s no one spoke a word to Geet… Brij made few calls to Defence Academy nd everywhere there was just this one news – All DEAD….Brij was stammering to reveal this to Nano, who had strong faith that no harm could touch their children…Geet unaware of the incidents was happily playing with Maan along Anni in their Garden nd slept off while doing so… Further enquiry  4 hrs to the incident nd still no concrete reports had been releazed as to whether any one survived through the incident…   The worst decision was now how to break d news to GH.. AT such a tender age how will she respond to this situation nd how it’ll effect her innocence, Mummiji never stopped weeping… The day had indeed turned worser than any day at Handa Haveli….

         Another new academic year at school GH classes had been shuffled – had a difficult time making friends oops making enemies… GH was a stauch at all her ideologies & believed she was never wrong- her never to give up attitude did kill her at times but it was now tat she had met d most beautiful enemy turned friend for her life – wen enemies turn friends they stand by u & support u since they know ur weakness nd try best to hide it frm d world.. There was this girl Aliza who was always at logger heads with GH… Be it sports or studies GH never gave a chance to any one to top d charts, this was something that irked Aliza she was frm US nd led a sophisticated nd self centered life , seeing d attention GH used to get frm her teachers Aliza always made it a point to ill treat GH, she never let out a single chance too… But GH was GH the winds which could blew others away would change directions in front of her!!! The irony of life each day at school it would be either Aliza or GH standing out of classes as punishments due to each others techniques of harressing one another…

 

 

        Giving out fake proofs tat GH copies during Exam or Keeping rods at games field so tat she trip nd hurt herself unable to perform or something, Aliza was always a mastermind at such young age , GH never tolerated her cheap antics but one incident of their lives turned them best friends… The hea t of GH could melt any one , it was during their exams nd in one such attempt to hurt GH which backfired on Aliza she was left handicapped – she had tried to push down GH frm d elevator wen she struck something nd felt down toppling over, the incident left her broken limbs nd she was plastered , it was their quarterly exams & following this incident GH volunteered to be a  scribe for exam on behalf of Aliza , this gesture by GH had moved her completely nd these 2 became one of the thickest friends for ever…

 

 

 

       GH got so involved in her present life tat it was getting her very little time to catch up with Anni on Maan 😛 Maan never spoke to her over phone though she used to convince him wen they met at HP but he never just agreed to it.. so it would always be Anni d spokesperson who would narrate d happeninhgs at HP nd so it left Geet miss nothing J Anni had been her sweet sister a caring friend and help at ll times… Mohinder had some important meetings regarind d Uranium & Oil business tat he had to travel to Riyadh for some finalization of deal, & Rano being 55 % stake holder had to accompany , GH was not given permit to travel as Rano found it unsafe to let her go with them , a lot of security nd National defence issues let them worried to carry over their baby GH… So GH had to be at HP nd this way she had to Miss her Final exams for the term…

 

 

 

    It was d Delhi airport, Mummiji Beena Kunal Brij & other family members had come over for d departure – it was a 1 mnth Business trip nd this was d first time GH had to stay away from her parents. Rano was finding it difficult to part ways nd so Mohinder… Rano had checked in no time nd never turned back to look at baby GH, GH could see nothing her eyes were flooded with tears her only family her parents were going away she was shattered she hugged Mohinder who weeped holding her tight to his embrace – He kissed her nd turned to Brij – Take care of her if we never return… She is my soul nd my heartbeat … Rano knew it would be unbearable for her to vision such a sight so she had left in advance without bidding farewell, Mohinder nd Rano had spent sleepless nights worrying abt this journey – something tat always kept poking them was GH… … The National Defence had clearly given threat signs nd tat was d main reason they were traveling out of India – they didn’t carry Geet cos they didn’t want to put her at Risk… God will take care Rano used to console mohinder with fake smile though she would be dying thousand times to tell him such things… The final journey had come nd they left her her soul marked with tears , she didn’t knew anything but she knew they were going away nd would be back in a month or tat was supposed to be told to her , she prayed tat d 1 month end up soon – but no never life has strange ways nd each day sun rays bring new shine nd new hope nd new day…

GH was looking at the starred night sky wen they returned home, she was gazing nd she saw the flight, she turned & called out Brij Mama to see … He carried her tight, she smiled yup Mamma & Pappa r in tat flight na Mama ?? Yes Geet… Its going so far… Ummm Geet… It’ll take them safely na Mama… Haaan Geet… Jald aayenga na Mama.. Jee Geet.. Abhi chalo sleep we need to travel bact to HP tmrw morning… The flight was out of their vision nd she smiled her way back to slumber sleep…
